ELECTRODE FOR ALKALINE STORAGE BATTERY AND METHOD OF ITS PRODUCTION

FIELD: production of electrodes for alkaline storage batteries with high specific electric characteristics. SUBSTANCE: alkaline storage battery electrode has porous base made of nickel foil of 30 - 150 mcm thick with porosity of 25 - 55 % and pores size of 1.0 - 1.5 mcm. Method of electrode production provides for production of base by rolling in rollers covered with mixture active lubricating substance and organic solvent, for example, mixture of oleic acid and acetone, sintering in reduction atmosphere and following introduction of active mass. EFFECT: electrodes have increased specific electrical characteristics due to small thickness and high porosity of base.
