<p>The connector (22) is mounted on a base (12) with a rectangular dielectric and protruding pin connections (16,18). The outside of the connector is surrounded by a metallic sheath, with a number of flexible tongue sections (30) protruding inwards. The connector mates with a female unit on the PCB, click fitting into place. A second shielding section (5) slides into place on top of the first, having an inner rectangular hole, and a number of flexible sections (60) formed by slits in the top surface (62). The flexible sections make good contact with the first shielding section. The whole unit is screwed in position with the PCB connector. ADVANTAGE - Electromagnetic and radio frequency parasitic effects are reduced.</p> |
