SINGLE-OPERATION DETECTION DEVICE OF SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR AND POWER GENERATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To surely detectt the single-operation state of a synchronous generator which makes generating power poer flow reversely to a commercial AC power system. CONSTITUTION: A fluctuation-signal generation means 24 generates a fluctuation signal which has a predetermined frequency and of which amplitude is variable, it gives the signal to an automatic voltage regulator 19, and a field current is changed by the automatic voltage regulator 19 to as to correspond to the amplitude of the fluctuation signal. A control means 28 corresponds to the output of a power detection means 27, it controls the fluctuation-signal generation means 24, and it controls the amplitude of the fluctuation signal so as to become small as the detection power of the generated power of a synchronous generator 7 becomes large. A frequency detection means 29 detects a fluctuation in the output frequency of the synchronous generator 7. When the fluctuation is large, a level discrimination means 30 judges that the synchronous generator 7 is a signale operation.
