POLYMER PARTICLES, PRODUCTION METHOD FOR POLYMER PARTICLES, AND ITS APPLICATION

The present invention provides: polymer particles capable of being uniformly dispersed in a dispersion liquid and sufficiently agglomerating when the dispersion liquid is volatilized; a method for preparing the polymer particles; and a use thereof. The polymer particles according to the present invention comprise: a constituent unit represented by chemical formula (1) and/or chemical formula (2) below and derived from a hydroxyl group-containing monomer; a constituent unit derived from a mono-functional (meth)acrylate-based monomer; a constituent unit derived from a mono-functional styrene-based monomer; and a constituent unit derived from a cross-linkable monomer, wherein the polymer particles have a volume average particle diameter of 5 m or less and a hydroxyl group value of 5.0 mgKOH/g to 15 mgKOH/g inclusive.
