SAFETY DEVICE FOR COMBUSTOR

PURPOSE: To provide a safety device of a combustor having a catalyst layer which allows detecting of aging of the catalyst layer accurately. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst temperature sensor 4 is provided to detect the temperature of a catalyst of a combustor having a catalyst layer. A combustion controller 2 is provided to generate an alarm receiving a signal from the catalyst temperature sensor 4 and an auxiliary power source 3 to supply a power source to the combustion controller 2 during the non-conduction period of a commercial power source. The combustion controller 2 has a memory section 2A to store a signal data as reference data from the catalyst temperature sensor 4 as obtained when a combustion is made by the combustor in a standard state previously during the shipment from a factory. Thus, a data of a signal from the catalyst temperature sensor 4 in the using of the combustor is compared with the reference data to generate an alarm with the combustion controller 2. This enables the preventing of the continuation of abnormal combustion attributed to aging of the catalyst layer.
