PURPOSE: To facilitate the exchange work of an object to be machined, and to improve safety by protecting a worker from laser beams by switching a laser head to a save position away from the object to be machined held by a holder and a use position close to it. CONSTITUTION: Concerning the sewing machine with laser beam machining function equipped with a sewing machine head 20 and a laser head 40, the laser head 40 can be switched to the save position away from the object to be machined held by the holder and the use position close to the object to be machined. Thus, when not performing the laser beam machining of the object to be machined, the laser head 40 is switched to the save position away from the object to be machined so that the exchange work, etc., of the object to be machined to the holder can be easily performed. When performing the laser beam machining of the object to be machined, on the other hand, the laser head 40 is switched to the use position close to the object to be machined and the worker is protected from the laser beam with which the object to be machined is irradiated at the time of this laser beam machining. |
