OIL STOP TREATED END PART OF OIL IMPREGNATED PAPER INSULATION CABLE

PURPOSE: To prevent the creation of wrinkles on a heat shrinking tube for stopping oil. CONSTITUTION: The end of an oil impregnated paper insulation cable 1 is step- stripped, and an oil impregnated paper insulating layer 3 and its cable conductor 4 are exposed from the end part of the sheath 2 successively. The end part of the cable conductor 4 exposed is inserted into and joined to the base part of a male connecting terminal 5, and compressed and connected. An oil stopping heat shrinking tube 6 covers the periphery of the oil impregnated paper insulating layer 3 in a shrunk state, striding the base periphery of a connecting terminal 5 and the periphery of the end part of the sheath 2. Both ends of the oil stopping heat shrinking tube 6 are sealed against the connecting terminal 5 and the sheath 2 for stopping oil by oil stop treated parts 8a, 8b. The periphery of the oil stopping heat shrinking tube 6 is covered with a reinforcing heat shrinking tube 7 in a shrunk state.
