<p>PURPOSE: To unnecessitate water spray for giving activity to microorganisms stuck on a carrier forming a packed bed, to support the packed bed of high height with an equipment of low strength and to hold a lot of microorganisms to increase the treating effect. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a treating tank 10 for storing water 11 in the lower part, a packed bed 12 which consists of a floating carrier on which microorganisms are stuck and is packed in the treating tank in a floating state in which the lower part thereof is immersed in water of the treating tank, a gas introducing means 13 for introducing raw gas into water in the lower part of the treating tank, and a treated gas discharge means 14 for discharging the treated gas from above the packed bed in the treating tank to outside the tank.</p> |
