<p>PURPOSE: To enhance recording efficiency without generating the supply insufficiency of a recording material such as a dye or the like by a recording apparatus wherein the area of the liquid surface coming into contact with the atmosphere of the liquid recording material housed in a liquid recording material housing part is made larger than the total area of openings. CONSTITUTION: A liquefied dye tank 45 occupies the almost entire region of the upper part of a printing head 10 and opening parts 45a are provided to the entire region excepting the part of a dye tank 41 of the upper part of the liquefied dye tank 45 and covered with a lid 46. The material of the lid 46 does not permit a liquid to pass and has only air permeability. Therefore, the lid 46 faces to the atmosphere and atmospheric pressure is applied to the liquid surface 22a of the liquefied dye in the liquefied dye tank 45 by the air permeability of the lid. Since the liquefied dye tank 45 is provided between a liquefied dye introducing part 64 and the dye tank 41 in front thereof, the liquefied dye supply part of an evaporation part 17 is always filled with the liquefied dye 22 up to the pointed end part of a group of small pillar elements 80 by the action of atmospheric pressure. The liquefied dye 22 corresponding to consumption is sufficiently supplied because the area of the liquid surface 22a in the tank 45 is extremely large and the dye 22 receives atmospheric pressure over a wide area.</p> |
