<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic head device having excellent follow-up ability and phase characteristics without detriment to mechanical strength, mechanical accuracy and sliding characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A fitting base 27 to be provided with a magnetic head 1 is provided with 1st tape guides 38 in approximately adjacent positions to the magnetic head 1 and 2nd tape guides 48 in distant positions from the magnetic head respectively. The fitting base 27 consists of a high precision material, and the tape guides 38 and 48 are molded pieces of a material of high sliding characteristics, and these parts are integrally assembled. The inner wall 38d of one projecting part of the 1st tape guide 38 is formed with a perpendicular surface, and the inner wall 38e of the other projecting part is formed with an inclined surface, while inner walls 48d and 48e of both projecting parts of the 2nd tape guide 48 are formed with perpendicular surfaces respectively.</p> |
