<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire and maintain an effective data transmitting speed at which the data transmitting band width is not used wastefully by transmitting a data packet to a target operating point which is the estimated value of the optimum set point from the present operating point at an adaptive transmitting speed and, when the data packet does not reach the optimum set point, repeating the transmission by recalculating the target operating point. SOLUTION: A processing system 100 composed of a personal computer, etc., is connected with processing systems 301-303 and a LAN 304 through an integrated network 300. At the time of initializing data transmission, a data packet is transmitted to a target operating point which is the estimated value of the optimum operating point of such a data transmitting speed that a buffer becomes neither an overflowing state nor an under-flowing state from the present operating point at an adaptive index transmitting speed. When the data packet does not reach the optimum set point, the system 100 retransmits the packet after recalculating the target operating point.</p> |
