FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: force-measuring converter acts on finger of patient, and signal is read out simultaneously from pulse wave transducer. Value of pressure is determined by signal from force-measuring converter. Systolic pressure is measured at moments when pulse wave signal appears or disappears correspondingly at increasing or reducing action onto the finger. Diastolic pressure is measured at the moment of initial reduction in amplitude of pulse wave signal at increasing influence onto the finger or at the moment when amplitude of pulse wave signal is stopped to increases at reducing influence onto the finger. Improved noise immunity is achieved due to application of feedback signals from force-measuring converter and pulse wave transducer.
