<p>PURPOSE: To provide a cutting sintered body tip which is lengthened in its life and excellent in economical properties such as manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A sintered body tip for cutting has middle layers 24, 32 formed of one of cemented carbide alloy, steel system metal and high melting point metal; and the first layers 25a, 33a and the second layers 25a, 33b which are arranged at positions where the middle layers 24, 32 are sandwiched on both upper and lower sides, and sinteredly joined to the middle layers 24, 32 and composed of a hard sintered body containing cubic system boron nitride or diamond, and its front and back faces compose a rake face. All of noses and flanks taking a part in cutting are formed in the first layers 25a, 33a and the second layers 25b, 33b, and the middle layers 24, 32 is formed so as to include the center of gravity of the rake face and moreover the center of gravity of the a whole tip. In addition, a covered layer composed of the nitride of periodic law table 4a, 5a, 6a group elements is formed on the surfaces of the rake face and of the flank.</p> |
