PURPOSE: To easily understandably display an image equivalent to a caller by obtaining the change of an illustration pattern corresponding to the storage control operation of message data. CONSTITUTION: Reception data are demodulated in an RF reception part 12 and supplied to a decoder part 13. In the decoder part 13, matching with an ID code individually allocated to a paging receiver supplied from an ID-ROM 15 is judged for data corresponding to calling signals and calling signal detection signals are sent to a CPU 14 only when they match. When the message data follow the calling signals, continuous reception is instructed to the decoder part 13 from the CPU 14, and after fetching the message data, the presence of a secret specifying code is judged. When it is judged that it is present, the portrait data bank of a RAM 20 is retrieved, respective component patterns are read from a portrait matrix and a portrait pattern constituted of the component patterns is displayed. |
