<p>PURPOSE: To enable a physically handicapped person to efficiently execute character input and character edition by providing this character/symbol inputting mechanism with a means for defining an input by the ON or OFF timing of input means of input devices. CONSTITUTION: This mechanism is provided with means 10 to 13 for executing the start of scanning, the temporary stop of scanning, a change in scanning speed, or the definition of input of a character/symbol in accordance with the ON- or OFF-timing of switches of input devices 2a, 2b or the ON- or OFF- frequency of input means. Namely a central processing unit(CPU) in an information processor 1 is constituted of a character display mechanism (character display program) 13, a time monitoring mechanism (time monitoring progrm) 11, an input monitoring mechanism (input monitoring program) 12, and a timer mechanism 10 to be previously set by a user. Thus the start of scanning, a change in the scanning speed after the lapse of prescribed time from the start of scanning or the establishment of input a character/symbol is executed at the ON or OFF timing of the switches of the input devices 2a, 2b.</p> |
