<p>PURPOSE: To make a temperature distribution more precise by determining the change ratio of the time of a light being propagated in an optical fiber to be measured by the temperature distribution based on a supposition that the luminous flux propagated in the optical fiber is not dependent upon temperature, and correcting the time axis of the temperature distribution with this change ratio. CONSTITUTION: The change ratio of the time of a light being propagated in an optical fiber to be measured is determined by a temperature distribution measured and processed, supporting that the luminous flux propagated in the optical fiber is not dependent upon temperature. The change ratio of the propagating time by temperature per unit time is represented by an expression 1/τ.dτ/dT=α+1/N.dN/dT+1/N.dN/ dε.(α+β) (τ: time, T: temperature,α: linear expansion coefficient of optical fiber, N: refraction factor of optical fiber,β: linear expansion coefficient of glass fiber,ε: distortion}. The correction of the time axis of the temperature distribution is performed by correcting the interval of a timing pulse transmitted from a timing processor 132 to a signal processor 126 according to the expression, and applying it to the time axis stored in the processor 126.</p> |
