<p>PURPOSE: To enable a visually handicapped person to easily execute operation by an inexpensive mouse by converting the function of the mouse into the function of a menu/character selection inputting terminal equipment for the visually handicapped person. CONSTITUTION: Driver software for converting the function of the mouse 1 into a function for a visually handicapped person is introduced in a computer to conver the function of the mouse 1 into the function for the visually handicapped person. Similarly menu/character selection inputting software 6 linking with a voice generator 8 is introduced in the computer so as to access a menu/ character selecting program by the button operation of the mouse 1. When a power supply for the computer is turned on, a mouse driver 4, a voice generator driver 7, a voice generator 8, and the software 6 are automatically started, so that input operation by the mouse 1 for a visually handicapped person can be attained. A button 3 on the mouse 1 is used for the selection of a menu and the determination of the selection and a button 2 is used for scroll selecting work, and when either one of the buttons 2, 3 is depressed, an intrinsic voice is generated from a sound source 5.</p> |
