PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excess catalyst from dripping down into a pattern shaping air chamber on the stop of operation of a spray gun by providing a means which, when a valve for air is opened, injects a catalyst into pattern shaping air flowing in the spray gun. SOLUTION: When a trigger 28 is pulled for operating a spray gun 10, a plunger 30 moves to open a valve for air 20 and pressurized air in a passage 19 flows into a passage 31 communicating to a nozzle assembly 11. Air flowing through the passage 31 atomizes a fluid supplied from a hose 24 and the envelope of the atomized fluid is made flat into a fan-shaped pattern. The flow of pattern shaping air is controlled by operating a valve needle 33. By further pulling the trigger 28, a valve needle 34 moves to open a valve for fluid 35 of the nozzle assembly. When an enough air pressure is applied to a control port 37, a pivot valve 27 is opened to allow a catalyst to flow into the passage of a barrel end 15. |
