When the character kind is KANJI, the reading is taken out by referring to a shape dictionary 7, a meaning dictionary 8, a phonetical and Japanese pronunciation dictionary 9, code dictionary 10 and an idiom dictionary 11. The taken out reading is outputted by voice by a voice output device 5 and is outputted to a braille display 4 by braille. When the character kind is HIRAGANA, the HIRAGANA is outputted as it is by voice and braille.
