<p>PURPOSE: To provide a cell exchanging device capable of minimizing the abandonment of cells even when the cells are concentratively inputted to a specified outgoing line and address management ability in a buffer control circuit goes over. CONSTITUTION: The buffer control circuit 15 selectively connects an incoming line space switch 13 to buffer memories 111 -11p or external FIFO memories 211 -21L by the address storage states of address queues 181 -18m and controls the write of the cells. Further, the address of the written cell is stored in the address queue for the respective outgoing lines. Then, an outgoing line space switch 14 is selectively connected to the buffer memories 111 -11p or the external FIFO memories 211 -21L, the cell is read to sent out the cell from the corresponding outgoing line.</p> |
