<p>PURPOSE: To more surely control a gate by detecting which area in the gate passes a passenger by a sensor capable of sensing a distance. CONSTITUTION: When a passenger passes a passage held between gate bodies 1A, 1B by opening flappers 4A, 4B, the existing range of the passenger in a gate area is judged by a control part 11 based upon signals outputted from sensors 9A, 10A. At the time of detecting the existence of a person in an exit area without detecting his (or her) entry for instance, gate control such as a reverse entry error is executed. Since the position of a passenger in the gate area can be detected as compared with conventional control for detecting only a passenger existing in front of a sensor, more surely gate control can be attained.</p> |
