PURPOSE: To provide a color filter substrate which has a simple structure, exhibits excellent performance and is producible at a low cost by constituting the substrate by arranging a transparent conductive film consisting of an org. material on a transparent substrate in such a manner that this film comes into contact with plural colored members varying in spectral characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A light shielding film 12 made of chromium is formed at a film thickness of 500Å on the glass substrate 11. The colored members (R, G, B) 13 which consists of pigment-contg. litho-coat resins and have the different spectral characteristic are formed respectively at a film thickness of 1.5μm thereon. In succession, the transparent conductive film 15 consisting of the org. material is formed on the colored members 13 to form electrodes for liquid crystal display. More specifically, a polyaniline film 15 which is an org. material is directly formed on the colored members 13 at a thickness of 100μm by using a printing method. The curing temp. of the polyaniline is <=200 deg.C. The resistivity of the polyaniline film 15 is as low as 5Ω.cm and the internal stress thereof is small and, therefore, the formation of the thick film is possible. As a result, the sheet resistance of the film attains the value as low about 500Ω/square and the film is usable as the counter electrode. |
