<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to simply and accurately detect the leakage of insulating fluid from the oil retaining seal in a cable termination CONSTITUTION: A bag 19, made of a rupturable film and filled with insulating gas, such as SF6 , is placed in a protective cover 16 at the lower part of the oil retaining seal in a cable termination. The bag 19 is installed on a board 20 through an elastic support 21 in such a way that the bag 19 can be moved down toward the board 20. Needles 22 are vertically installed on the top of the board 20 with their points facing upward, and the points of the needles 22 are positioned in proximity to the underside of the bag 19. A gas detector 23 is installed on the protective cover 16 in proximity to the bag 19. When the detector 23 detects the insulating gas, it automatically gives the alarm for the leakage.</p> |
