Process for the production of bituminous compositions containing polymer residues and especially motor vehicle discards originating from the shredding and grinding, predominantly, of motor vehicle bodies. The process comprises five successive stages, namely grinding of the mixture of polymers, washing with water to remove earth, drying, mixing with pulverulent bitumen and forming, preferably by an extrusion and granulation or pressure-compacting. The bituminous compositions concentrated in polymer residues can be advantageously employed, in the dilute state, to improve the processing, the stability and the mechanical properties of roadbuilding or industrial bitumens.
