PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing color filters capable of embodying high coloring accuracy even if an ink jet head having plural discharge nozzles is used. CONSTITUTION: This process for production includes a first discharging stage for discharging coloring agents in prescribed patterns while prescribed coloring members are relatively scanned with the ink jet head IJH, a detecting stage for detecting the impact positions of the coloring agents at coloring members in the first discharge stage, a timing adjusting stage for adjusting the discharge timing of the ink jet head IJH in accordance with the result of the detection of the impact position of the coloring agents detected in this detecting stage and a second discharging stage for discharging the coloring agents at the timing set in the timing adjusting stage and coloring the filter elements on the substrate 12 while substrates 12 are relatively scanned with the ink jet head. |
