<p>PURPOSE: To provide a heat insulating sound absorbing material and its manufacturing method in which the number of compressions can be reduced to improve the recovery rate of thickness, increase the compressed density to improve the carrying efficiency and easily carry out the automation of a packaging process. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of inorganic fiber mats 11 are carried at given intervals in one line, two lines or more, and the surfaces and rear faces of the inorganic mats 11 are covered by supplying surface covering materials 14 in a manner of clamping the mats, and the upper and lower surface covering materials 14 are welded in a manner of encircling the peripheries of respective inorganic fiber mats 11 in the state of compressing the inorganic fiber mats 11, and simultaneously a perforation is formed between adjoining welding sections of the surface covering materials 14, and the surface covering materials are wound into a roll shape to manufacture a heat insulating and sound absorbing material 31.</p> |
