PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device whose angle of visibility is wide, where the change of contrast according to a viewing angle and the change of a color tone caused by the inversion of luminance in neutral tints are hardly found, whose screen size is made large, and which can be used for various purposes such as observation by plural persons. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal display device is constituted of a light source 4, a light transmission body 3 opposed to the light source 4 and having at least a light incident surface and a light outgoing surface, a prism sheet 2 which is arranged on the light outgoing surface of the transmission body 3 and where many prism lines are formed in parallel, a liquid crystal display element 6 arranged on the prism sheet 2, and a lenticular lens sheet 7 which is arranged on the display element 6 and where many lenticular lenses are formed in parallel at least on either surface. |
