Optical scanning device for digital copier or laser printer

The scanning device has a number of beams directed onto the same scanned point in succession. The beams are provided by a light source section (11-15) with several laser diodes (11,12) and associated collimation lenses (16,17) converting the output beams from the laser diodes into parallel light currents, subsequently superimposed. The light source section allows the angular direction of each light current to be adjusted relative to the main scanning direction and is rotatable about the optical axis.
