PURPOSE: To suppress the leaching of a dye and to improve heat and chemical resistances by disposing an overcoating layer formed by curing an overcoating agent contg. an alicyclic epoxy compd. as a base. CONSTITUTION: In this color filter with a colored layer 3 disposed on the substrate 1 of glass, etc., and formed by patternwise dyeing a porous layer with a dye and an overcoating layer 4 disposed on the surface of the colored layer 3, the overcoating layer 4 is made of a layer formed by curing an overcoating agent contg. an alicyclic epoxy compd. as a base. The porous layer is preferably a porous layer formed by bonding particles of a colorless oxide such as SiO2 with a water-soluble resin binder. The alicyclic epoxy compd. has an epoxy equiv. of 100-2,000, preferably 100-500 and the weight of the alicyclic part is preferably >=60%, especially >=75% of the weight of the epoxy compd. |
