<p>PURPOSE: To quickly reduce the speed without producing slackening of a tape when the tape speed is reduced during a high-speed movement. CONSTITUTION: When a speed reduction command is received during the high- speed movement of a tape 1 by a tape speed control circuit 10, the slackening condition of the tape 1 is detected based on the cycle ratio of a frequency generator and the winding diameter ratio of the tape 1. In a driving force setting means (11), a driving force is outputted according to the slackening condition. During a speed reduction, a motor 6 is driven by a tape speed judging circuit 25 according to the output of the driving force setting means (11) and the speed is reduced without any slackening. When a target low speed is reached, the motor 6 is driven according to the tape speed judging circuit 25 and thus the tape 1 is transferred at a fixed low speed.</p> |
