<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a program searching method in a VTR in which the number of changeovers of the running direction of a magnetic tape in small. CONSTITUTION: In this program searching method for magnetic tape, a control signal as a signal for servo is recorded by a 1st duty and also recorded by a 2nd duty as to the program searching part. The magnetic tape 1 is run in a 1st direction at a high speed, and after detecting the signal of 2nd duty and passing over the program searching part, the duty of the control signal obtained through a control head 6 is judged by a microcomputer 10 while running the magnetic tape 1 at a low speed in the 2nd direction which is opposite to the 1st direction, then at the time when the prescribed number of signals of 2nd duty is obtained, the program searching is regarded as completed.</p> |
