<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a tape running controller capable of searching at a high speed and controlling the tape speed, for which the servo operation with the generation of frequency by a driving means such as a reel motor is unrequired. CONSTITUTION: The controller is provided with the driving means M0, M1 for driving reels of an information recording tape T, a tape running system 30 for guiding and running the information recording tape T, and a rotary head device 40 having a rotary head HE for recording the information signal to the information recording tape T. Also, it is constituted by furnishing a fixed head 50 for obtaining a reproduced signal (A) from the information signal recorded by the rotary head HE of the rotary head device 40, and a control means 60 for controlling the driving means based on either a rectangular signal (E) produced from an envelope (D) of the reproduced signal read out by the fixed head 50 or a synchronized signal (Y) taken out from the inside of the reproduced signal.</p> |
