<p>PURPOSE: To improve the recording/reproducing speed of data at a prescribed rate by increasing the rotary drum diameter at a prescribed rate and increasing the number of magnetic heads. CONSTITUTION: The rotary drum is rotated at a prescribed speed by a drum servo (not shown in the figure) at a reproducing time, and a magnetic tape runs at a prescribed speed by a capstan servo (not shown in the figure). Further, tracking control is performed so that a reproducing head 103 scans on a prescribed track 201. A drum servo mechanism, a capstan servo mechanism and a tracking control mechanism, etc., are equal to them used for a usual DDS system. The data on the magnetic tape are reproduced by the reproducing head 103, and a signal is supplied to a reproducing signal processing circuit 112, and the circuit 112 performs prescribed error correction processing, etc., to decode a reproducing ssignnal to the target digital data, annd the digital data are outputted to an output terminal. By such a processing, the digital data are recorded/reproduced by the magnnetic recording/reproducing device.</p> |
