<p>PURPOSE: To extend the life of a battery built in a card body as long as possible by detecting a voltage change in the battery through a switch means and setting up a transmitting means to a driven state based upon the detected voltage change. CONSTITUTION: When an antenna (a) of a non-contact IC card body 1 receives a radio wave from a transmitter T, a transmitting circuit 5 supplies a prescribed signal to the antenna (a) and data transmission/reception between the transmitter T and the IC card body 1 is executed. After completing the transmission/ reception of prescribed data, a non-contact type automatic ticket examination machine ends a series of arithmetic processing based upon card data received from the body 1, completes the writing of prescribed entrance/exit data in a memory of a CPU 4 built in the body 1, detects the voltage change of the battery 2 through the switch means of a detection circuit 10 and turns off power supply from the battery 2 to the circuit devices of the body 1. Thereby the life of the battery 2 can be extended.</p> |
