PURPOSE: To determine the stepping of a brake pedal more correctly, and actuate emergency brake more correctly. CONSTITUTION: When a brake pedal of a driver is stepped, an electronic control device determines if a pedal stepping speed exceeds a second threshold value A', and if pedal stepping force is larger than fifth threshold value D based on detection signals from a stroke sensor 23 and a stepping force sensor 22. When it is determined that the pedal stepping speed is larger than the second threshold value A', and that the pedal stepping force is larger than the fifth threshold value D, both a second comparator 48 and a fifth comparator 57 make outputs, and a first RS flipflop 52 and a third RS flipflop 59 both make outputs. An AND circuit 54 thus makes an output, while a second flipflop 56 makes an output, so a first OR circuit 51 makes an output. Both a first and a second switching valves 17, 19 are thus changed, where emergency brake is actuated. |
