PURPOSE: To decompose or restrain malodor by using microbial bacteriostat having a function in which malodor generated during composting of organic waste materials such as garbage is deodorized or is remarkably reduced. CONSTITUTION: A water trap 2 is used for preventing a sample from being dried. Gas generated from the sample 4 disposed in a reactor 3 is discharged to the outside together with air fed from an air pump 1, through an alkali component trap 5 and an acid component trap 6. The trapping of gas for a function test is carried out in such a way that the gas is trapped into a polyamide laminated polyethylene film bag from a discharge gas trapping port 7. Fresh garbage used as the sample, is pulverized by a mixer, and thereafter, is sealed and reserved under refrigeration. The garbage is taken just before the start of the test, and is thawed in a microwave oven. The garbage is mixed with sawdust as a ventilation improving agent, and is then charged in the reactor for a composting test. |
