PURPOSE:To make coil having an excellent superconductivity available, by heat treatment in an oxygenated atmosphere under the pressure of 10-1000atm. CONSTITUTION:Inside a pipe made of silver or silver alloy, a wire filled with some perovskite-type oxide superconductive powder containing rare earth elements or compound powder which becomes oxide superconductor by heating is formed into the shape of an coil. The coil-shaped material is heat-treated in an oxygenated atmosphere under the pressure of 10-1000atm. By this method, oxygen is supplied uniformly and sufficiently on the whole surface of the coil- shaped oxide superconductor by relatively short time of heat treatment. At the same time, a low-cost superconducting coil with an excellent superconductivity is available since space generation is avoided. |
