<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cushioning material for package that is used to buffer impacts during packaging and to fill spaces and is easy to dispose of, by a method wherein a sheet of paper coated with water-soluble polymer on one side or both sides is folded in two with the coated surface inside and sealed along three or four sides and gas is sealed in it. CONSTITUTION: A cushioning material to be used when precision machines, etc., are packaged is produced in such a way that a sheet of paper coated with water-soluble polymer on one side or both sides is folded in two with the coated surface inside and sealed along the three sides or four sides and gas is sealed in it. Polycaprolactam is used as water-soluble polymer, and a sheet of paper coated with a mixture of polylactic acid and nylon 6 can be used to produce the cushioning material. In the case of three-side sealing, a back seal 11 is arranged on the side to facilitate edge alignment and improve productivity. Volume-reduction notches 12 are provided on the back seal 11 to facilitate volume reduction by releasing air after use.</p> |
