PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a depth adjusting system which can be removed from a nose part of a housing and is not subjected to wear. SOLUTION: This depth adjusting system for a power tool 18 comprises a nose part 42; and a depth adjusting sub-assembly 40 releasably connected to the nose part 42. The sub-assembly 40 is equipped with an adjusting collar 44 which is arranged for the rotatable operation not in the axial direction at the time of depth adjusting operation. The system 18 is provided with a connection member mutually connecting the sub-assembly 40 to the nose part 42 releasably. The connection member is furnished with a substantially hard part engaging with the sub-assembly and an elastic part energizing the substantially hard part.
