PURPOSE: To constitute an appropriate frame at the time of transferring data by means of a host name by obtaining an address for network controller, which is allocated to a network controller, in accordance with an opposite party. CONSTITUTION: A broadcaster address is set in a header part by a transfer server 2. A transmission value to MARP is set in a type and an inquiry is transmitted to respective nodes. An address server 5 which can return a response obtains an 'Ethernet' multicast address and returns the frame where the address is set in a data part to the server 2. The frame is taken into all the clients 3-1 to 3-n of a client group 30 as a transfer start notice and the response is simultaneously returned. A sequence number corresponding to the transmission frame is included in the response. The number and the names of the clients 3 returning the response are made clear by permitting the server 2 to receive them. Thus, the success or failure of transfer can be grasped for the respective clients by executing a transfer processing in accordance with the sequence number. |
