PURPOSE: To obtain the remote commander having provision for lots of peripheral equipments without increasing number of keys. CONSTITUTION: A remote commander 2 is provided with an infrared ray transmission section 3 sending a signal and an infrared ray receiving section 4 receiving the signal, and an STV (system television receiver) is provided with a reception section and a transmission section, the remote commander 2 selects any of peripheral equipments displayed on a menu and a signal corresponding to the selected peripheral equipment is obtained from the STV and the display content of the liquid crystal display device of the remote commander 2 and the key assignment are revised into those for the peripheral equipment. Since each key function of the remote commander is revised by the signal from the STV, one set of the remote commander operates lots of devises. |
