PURPOSE: To obtain a stable frame synchronization by encoding a signal for frame synchronization by an error correction code part and transmitting the signal by a transmitter, decoding a reception series by an error decoding part by a receiver and obtaining the frame synchronization based on decoded data. CONSTITUTION: A convolution code part 3 encodes an inputted frame synchronizing signal PPD and continuously encodes main signal data TD. The obtained frame signals of all code sequence are transmitted 4 and reaches a reception station via a transmission line 300. In the reception station 200, a reception part 5 demodulates the received frame signal, outputs a reception sequence RD 1, and a viterbi decoding part 71 performs a viterbi decoding for the reception sequence RD 1 and outputs decoded data FD 1. Because this processing is performed for all the reception sequence RD 1, the decoding is rightly performed even if an error is included in the signal FPD part. A synchronizing detection part 8 detects the signal FPD for frame synchronization contained in decoded data FD1 , detects the signal under the control of a protection part 82 and establishes the frame synchronization. |
