PURPOSE: To provide a display device obtaining an observed image whose resolution is high even in the case of having the picture element of delta array such as a general liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: The display device having a display element 11 constituted by arraying plural picture elements developing different colors possesses optical axis shifting means (13, 14, 15 and 16) selectively shifting the optical axis of a video on the display element 11 in proportion to the array pitch of the picture element and a video shift controlling means selectively shifting the video displayed on the display element 11 in a direction opposite to an optical axis shift direction synchronizing with the operation of the optical axis shifting means 13-16. |
