A tiled wall (1) is repaired by an arrangement containing an opaque plate (4), held on the gap in the tiled wall by an adhesive connection (5). Pref. the opaque plate is made of glass. The gap is defined by spacers. A siccative or drying agent is typically located inside the gap. Permanently elastic seals may be located at the edges of the glass plate.
