<p>A method of processing data from a co-located hydrophone-geophone pair of seismic receivers (9) of an ocean-bottom cable system. Ambient noise is obtained for the hydrophone (302) and geophone (301). A relative noise signal is determined by finding the normalized difference (304) between geophone (301) and hydrophone (302) noise signals.
