A vehicle option programming system comprising: a receiver for mounting in a vehicle for receiving at least a first address uniquely identifying the vehicle and a control signal for controlling at least one controlled option on said vehicle; and circuit means coupled to said receiver and to said controlled option and responsive to the detection of said first address and said control signal for controlling said option in response to information contained by said control signal.
