PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize an air bubbling pipe and carry out backward washing of a contactor by interlockingly inserting the air bubbling pipe into a supporting hole installed in a bottom side of a tank and supporting the pipe and making the pipe rotatable in the supporting hole as a center in a horizontal plane in a tank for sewage purification wherein an air bubbling pipe is installed below a contactor to which a microbe membrane adheres. SOLUTION: A tank for sewage purification 1 has a contact aeration chamber 4 in one side of a precipitation separation chamber 2, a plurality of contactors 9 are installed in the aeration chamber 4, and an air bubbling pipe 10 is installed below these contactors 9. Moreover, a vertical pipe part 11 is vertically installed along a precipitation plate 5 and an air bubbling pipe 10 is installed in the lower end of the vertical pipe part 11 in horizontal direction. That is, an upper part supporting member and a guide member of the precipitation plate 5 are fixed in its upper part and lower part, respectively and the vertical pipe part 11 is so supported by a hook installed in the supporting member as to rotate freely. Also, the air bubbling pipe 10 is made possible to rotate in a horizontal plane by revolving the vertical pipe part 11 by a handle. Consequently, backward washing of the contactors 9 can be carried out by bubbles jetted out of the air bubbling pipe 10.
