摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the movement performance of a vehicle due to the auxiliary steering by forming an insensitive band having an auxiliary steering angle of 0 deg., in the vicinity of the neutral point free from the steering operation. CONSTITUTION:The insensitive band (alpha) having an auxiliary steering angle of 0 deg. is formed in the vicinity of the neutral point having a turn angle of theta=0 deg. free from steering operation. The insensitive band (alpha) is set within a set turning angle (theta) which is varied by the external turbulence, etc., supplied from a road surface during the right angle traveling free from the advance direction change, i.e., within a range of + or -15 deg.. The variation rate of the auxiliary steering angle deltagammafor the turning angle theta of a steering wheel is set smaller in the less turning angle theta region of the steering wheel and set larger as the turning angle thetaincreases. With this constitution, even if the turning angle theta of the steering wheel deflects slightly from 0 deg. by the external tubulence supplied from the road surface, the auxiliary steering angle is not provided because of the setting within the region of the insensitive band (alpha), and the straight advance performance is not deteriorated. Thus, the movement improvement effect due to the auxiliary steering can be improved.
