PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the failure of a device and to improve durability by controlling the application and non-application of laser beams with a laser beam chopper in terms of time and reading a signal accumulated by a CCD camera while no beams are applied. SOLUTION: A laser application control part 4 uses a rotary disk type beam chopper and repeats the transmission and non-transmission of laser beams 2 from a laser source part 1 for one second respectively. Then, the beams 2 are applied to an cataphoresis part 5 only on transmission. In the application state, sample fluorescence a gel and laser scattered light in the gel form an image on a CCD camera of a two-dimensional fluorescein detection part 7 via a fluorescence screening part 6 and the image is converted to an electric charge and is accumulated. In synchronization with the completion of the application state and the transition to a non-application state, electric charge information accumulated in the CCD is transferred to a data processing part 8 and all electric charges on the CCD are erased for a next application of laser beams. The above cycle is repeated, thus controlling an exposure time without using a mechanical shutter. |
