PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a language learning system or the like which links voices and videos for teaching materials and closed caption signals. SOLUTION: A student who utilizes the language learning system 1 instructs a voice and video reproducing device 20 to reproduce the voice and video signals for the teaching material of the desired part. A character generator 16 displays the videos for the teaching material and the closed caption signals on a monitor device 18. The student imitates and pronounces the conversation voices for the teaching material while viewing the videos and closed caption signals displayed on the monitor device 18. The voices pronounced by the student are made correspondent to the closed caption signals and stored by a recording and reproducing device 22. Further, the student instructs the device to reproduce the desired part of the voice and video signals for the teaching material and his own pronunciation recorded in the recording and reproducing device 22, comparatively listens to these sounds and progresses the language learning of English, etc., while correcting the pronunciation. |
